Studies which have been carried out with Jointsol®, showed an effect on inflammation degree and joint regeneration in chondrocytes tissues, greater than the one that can be obtained by treating these substances separately. This demonstrates that the mixture has a synergistic effect in the treatment of inflammatory and degenerative processes of joints.
The collagen matrix acts as a structural restorative of the fundamental substance components stimulating the anabolic processes and the mechanisms which activate the regenerative action of chondrocytes and osteoblasts.
The rose hip has an inhibitory action of releasing pro-inflammatory metabolites (interleukin and tumoral necrosis factor), and reduces the stimulation of inflammatory cells, which in turn diminishes collagen and glycoproteins degradation of extracellular matrix of chondrocytes by metalloproteinases. This produces the anti-inflammatory effect on joints.
The regenerative effectiveness of the collagen hydrolysate is developed by the existence of a special aqueous extract obtained by rose hip skins whose combination creates a commercial product Jointsol®, which allows to remarkably reduce the quantity of collagen hydrolysate which has to be provided as a standard recommended dosage to treat the inflammatory and degenerative processes of the musculoskeletal system.
